The FBI has reinstated an agent who raised concerns about lenient treatment of a Louisiana district attorney accused of sexual assault and lost his job over it.

FBI agent turned whistleblower Mike Zummer said he feels a weight has been lifted after the agency reversed its nine-year-old decision to suspend him without pay indefinitely.

Zummer now works as an attorney with Empower Oversight Whistleblowers & Research. The organization partnered with President Donald Trump’s FBI adviser Kash Patel and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to overturn disciplinary rulings against 10 former FBI agents, including Zummer, last week. Only three of the agents will return to duty…
